Featuring:
Jan Fairhurst
Jan's stoneware pottery is handmade to create functional pieces for
everyday use. Each handmade piece of stoneware is thrown on an old
kickwheel, but she works hard to create graceful lines on her pottery mugs,
bakeware, bowls and every piece she makes. She relishs the earthy quality of
stoneware clay but her work is lighter than much of the handmade pottery
you often find. The dichotomy is simple: sophisticated, but rustic. Making one of a kind, handmade, stoneware pottery that is attractive and
useful is my thing! Materials are non-toxic and leadfree.
Christy Lemp
Christy has a love for the everyday sights: a neighbor's tulips, pumpkins on
the porch, a gorgeous sunset, birds in the backyard, a mother snuggling
her child. Capturing the simplicity of
these fleeting watercolor impressions is her daily passion.
Betsy Menson Sio
East Street Pins
Betsy is a art educator, jewelry designer and nature lover. Coffee, olive oil, juice, cookie, and candy cans are all sources for
East Street Pins upcycled printed tin jewelry. Everything is hand
crafted and she uses sterling ear wires. This is recycling at its most
colorful!
Martha Ziemnis Harris
Farmstead Candles
Martha started making soy candles for herself several
years ago (lead free wick, 100% soy, no additives) as a cleaner
alternative to paraffin. Hence, Farmstead Candles were born. Since
that time she has added many new scents and sells to a local business, The Colonial Housefitter in Jamesville, NY and at local antique
shows. She has been published in Judy Condon's Simply Country Garden book
and The Joy of Country both 2011. Her signature scent is called Martha's
Kitchen.
