Finger Lakes Lavender Festival Scheduled Presenters

The schedule for the 5th Annual Finger Lakes Lavender Festival has been set!  And we have a great line up of artists, presenters and culinary delights.  Take a look!
  

Saturday, July 14^th & Sunday, July 15^th

9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.

Free Admission and Parking

·9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. Cut-your-own lavender ($5/ bunch)

·9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.  Artists will be offering unique products from handcrafted jewelry,

 handmade wooden bowl, pottery, artistic landscapes, baskets and so much more.  Shop

 Lockwood Farm Lavender Market offering all-natural lavender and honey products.

·9:30a.m. Learn how to grow, care and harvest lavender from Karen Wheeler-Lockwood, Lockwood Lavender Farm.

·10:00 Visit with Marcellus Beekeeper, Richard Linck and learn the basics of beekeeping

 and see his observation hive and beekeeping equipment.

·Saturday, 11:00: New York Photographer, Benjamin Peterson will discuss time lapse photography to document your garden and flowers as they grow.

·Sunday, 11:00 Join local photographer, Chris Murray and learn how to take better nature

and landscape photographs.

·12:00 Learn from Master Gardeners from Onondaga County Cornell Cooperative Extension “How to Grow Herbs”.

·12:30p.m. "Make Your Own Lavender Wand" (on-site reservation only, material included; $5.00/person).

·1:00p.m. “Cooking with Herbs” demonstration by Don Agate, chef from the Kreb’s Resturant, Skaneateles.

·2:00p.m. Sheep shearing demonstration by Gary Lockwood, owner of Lockwood Lavender Farm followed by a wool spinning demonstration by Marilee Williams.

·Sunday, 3:00 Carol Watson from Carol Watson Greenhouse in La Fayette will demonstrate the four steps to building a terrarium and how to maintain success.
